Breuer armchair by for .
The classic modernist armchair was designed by Marcel Breuer during his wartime exile in England while living at the Lawn Road building in Hampstead.
The design was created in 1936 for the Ventris family, with Breuer producing two armchairs and one sofa for their apartment in the Tecton-designed Highpoint building in Highgate.
The chair's armrest incorporates a shelf which doubles as a display case for objects or simply as a handy place to put your drink or book while seated.
